Kathleen is an Assistant Professor in the School for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Arizona State University. Her work lies at the intersection of organization science and human centered computing, and she draws on science and technology studies (STS) in her work.
Kathleen studies data practices, the situated social, technical, and organizational practices through which data are created, managed, and deployed in health care settings across the continuum of care. Her work also examines the design and use of health information technologies and impacts of such tools on clinical practice and patients.
