As CDI Week continues to establish itself as a cornerstone event for CDI professionals in ICD-10-AM countries, the enthusiasm and dedication of the community remain stronger than ever. Now in its third year, CDI Week has evolved beyond a celebration—it has become a movement, a platform for education, advocacy, and progress.
A key component of CDI Week is the annual CDI Week Survey, the largest and most comprehensive collection of data on CDI professionals in ICD-10-AM countries. This year's survey builds on previous years, allowing us to track trends, identify progress, and uncover new insights.
The survey, conducted in the weeks leading up to CDI Week 2024, explored key aspects of CDI practice, including professional backgrounds, job roles, training pathways, productivity expectations, and the impact of CDI programs on healthcare organisations. By comparing these results with previous years, we can better understand how CDI is developing as a profession and how organisations can support and retain skilled CDSs.
