About the Role
As the Documentation Improvement Manager at CALHN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading initiatives that drive quality improvement across our healthcare services. You will lead a team and direct documentation improvement activities, ensuring an accurate and detailed reflection of clinical services and patient complexity. This involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary clinicians to enhance the quality of patient care and ensure that all documentation is aligned with the clinical coding process, accreditation requirements, and quality standards.
In this leadership role, you will also spearhead strategic analysis of service delivery, using evidence-based insights to develop strategies and monitoring programs. Your work will be essential in maintaining documentation integrity, driving improvements in patient care, and supporting appropriate reimbursement of revenue. About You
To excel in this role, we are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong background in health information management and clinical documentation improvement. You will have:
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Allied Health, Medicine, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to improve clinical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in clinical coding, Activity Based Funding principles, and interpreting coding guidelines.
