An integral part of our team at The Wesley Hospital as a Clinical Documentation Specialist, you’ll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered to make the everyday easier for the people we care so passionately about.
Your part in The Wesley Hospital team
As a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating a culture of best-in-class clinical documentation accuracy in support of building a model of care focused on quality and health outcomes.
You will work closely with both our Clinicians and coding teams to participate in our Clinical Documentation Integrity program and leverage your clinical, coding, and documentation expertise to foster improvements in the overall quality, completeness, and compliance of clinical documentation.
By doing so, you will facilitate appropriate clinical documentation to ensure that the level of services and acuity of care are accurately reflected in the medical record.
You will be based at The Wesley Hospital and/or St Andrews War Memorial Hospital with potential to support St Stephens Hospital in the future remotely.

Demonstrated communication skills (both written and verbal) and the confidence to liaise with medical staff on patient treatment/outcomes is essential

Working knowledge and/or ability to acquire knowledge of clinical coding documentation requirements

Demonstrated experience and ability to lead, implement sustainable change, and inform key stakeholders across the organisation

Highly developed analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude in problem solving, including conflict resolution
