An exciting permanent part time position is available for nurses who are seeking a new challenge or wishing to build upon their existing knowledge of Clinical Documentation Improvement.

About the Role
In the role of Clinical Documentation Specialist, you will actively collaborate with doctors, nurses, and Allied Health staff to guarantee the thoroughness and accuracy of clinical documentation, reflecting the complexity of each patient.
- This dynamic role involves undertaking clinical documentation reviews, hospital-wide education and assists with quality improvement projects.
- The CDS reports to the Director of Finance and Hospital Support Services and and works in alignment with the health information team as well as liaising with other leaders within the hospital.
About You
To excel in this position, we are seeking a self-driven and ambitious individual with the ability to thrive both in a collaborative team setting and independently.
Your proven track record of effectively engaging with clinicians and other key stakeholders is crucial to success in this role. A passion for quality improvement and promoting culture change desirable.
You will also have the following:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good clinician relationships.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Knowledge of the DRG classification system and private healthcare funding models desirable.
